Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui derajat keeratan hubungan genetik dan lingkungan antar sifat-sifat kuantitatif pada keturunan kedua (F2) hasil persilangan paprika (Capsicum annum var. grossum L.) dengan cabai lokal (Capsicum annuum L.). Percobaan ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Koleksi dan Hibridisasi, Kelurahan Pejeruk, Kecamatan Ampenan Kota Mataram pada bulan Oktober 2017 sampai dengan Maret 2018. Metode percobaan yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental, dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Percobaan ini menggunakan 4 genotipe yaitu P1 (paprika/tetua betina), P2 (cabai lokal/tetua jantan), F1 (keturunan pertama hasil persilangan paprika dengan cabai lokal) dan F2 (keturunan kedua hasil persilangan paprika dengan cabai lokal), dimana P1, P2 dan F1 diulang sebanyak 5 kali dan F2 diulang sebanyak 25 kali, sehingga diperoleh 40 unit percobaan. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis keragaman, analisis peragam, analisis korelasi genotipik dan fenotipik. Koefisien korelasi genotipik yang berkorelasi positif nyata hanya ditunjukkan oleh sifat umur berbunga dengan panjang buah. Koefisien korelasi genotipik yang berkorelasi negatif nyata ditunjukkan oleh sifat tinggi tanaman dengan jumlah cabang, jumlah cabang produktif, jumlah buah panen dan panjang buah. Koefisien korelasi fenotipik yang berkorelasi positif nyata ditunjukkan oleh sifat tinggi tanaman dengan jumlah daun, jumlah cabang produktif, jumlah buah keseluruhan, jumlah buah panen dan panjang buah. Koefisien korelasi fenotipik yang berkorelasi negatif nyata ditunjukkan oleh sifat tinggi tanaman dengan bobot buah.

ABSTRACT

The objective of this study was to determine the genetic and environmental relationship among quantitative characters on the second progeny (F2) result of crossing between  paprica (Capsicum annum Var Grossum L.) and red pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). This experiment was conducted in Collection and Hybridization garden at Pejeruk, Ampenan subdistrict Mataram City since October 2017 until March 2018. The field design used was Completely Randomized Design. This experiment used four genotypes: P1 (pepper / female parent), P2 (red pepper / male parent), F1 (first progeny of paprica crossed with red pepper) and F2 (the second progeny of paprika crossed with red pepper), where P1, P2 and F1 were repeated 5 times and F2 was repeated 25 times, so that yhere were 40 experimental units. The observed data were analyzed using genotypic and phenotypic correlation analysis. The coefficient of genotypic correlation that positively correlated only shown by the age of flower and fruit length. The coefficient of genotypic correlation which is negatively correlated shown by plant height and number of branches, the number of productive branches, the number of harvested fruit and the length of the fruit. The coefficient of phenotypic correlation is positively correlated with the plant with the number of leaves, the number of productive branches, the total number of fruit, the number of  harvested fruit and the length of fruit. The correlation coefficient of phenotypic which is negatively correlated is shown by the high character of the plant with the fruit weight.
